While relaxing at the farm there are a variety of outdoor activities. With your reservation there are canoes and kayaks available under the cedars at the beach by camp. Feel free to bring your own water activities as well. You can walk the trails by the river, visit the cows, play a game of corn-hole or take a back road bike ride.

In the town of Norwood-Norfork there are two local diners Cafe 56 and Hometown Cafe  serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and 7 days a week, both of these cafes have ice cream stands. The Norwood News Cafe is a local bakery and coffee shop. If you need any grocery items, Riverside Acres Shop, located 1/4 mile north of the cabin on River Road, carries a variety of gourmet foods, ice and fire wood. This shop has you covered for breakfast with farm fresh eggs, bacon, pancake mixes and maple syrup. If you are looking for something to grill, the shop has a variety of local meats, cheeses, produce, dips, chips, pasta, sauces and sweets. Don't forget to check out the pet shop for your furry friends while you are there! Hometown Market and Deli is also 3 miles from the farm for additional grocery needs. The farm is 8 miles from the town of Potsdam, Clarkson University and Potsdam State College.
