River Bank Camping
Cedar Grove Cabin
Raquette River, Norwood, New York
The cabin features all the comforts of home! Inside the cabin you'll find a queen size bed with cozy linens and towels. The cabin comfortably fits two adults, if you would like to, you can add up to two sleeping mats and linens for older children. The cabin has a kitchen with a french press coffee maker, tea pot, and sugars, to get your morning started right. The kitchen also has a cutting board, kitchenware, flatware, cooking utensils, pots and pan, fresh water pump, two burner stove top and a small fridge. If you find it chilly during your stay, the cabin has a gas fireplace that is a simple push button start. The cabin is off grid but has running hot water filtered from the river and solar electricity for lights and charging your electronics. The power is not endless, unplug your electronics and turn off lights when not in use. The hot water is filtered from the river and is not crystal clear. Outside the cabin there are solar lights, a picnic table, lounge couch, Adirondack chairs, umbrella, propane grill and fire pit. Feel free to bring your own wood or bundles can be purchased at Riverside Acres Shop, a 1/4 mile north of the farm on River Road.
The cabin has a private bathhouse with a composting toilet and hot shower. The hot water is filtered river water, suitable for washing hand, dishes and bathing. A fresh water hand pump is in the kitchen for cooking and drinking water. The bathroom is stocked with eco-friendly soaps. With your reservation, you will have access to the canoes located under the cedars on the beach by your camp. There are adult and child life jackets available as well. Feel free to bring your own water activities, canoes or kayaks. I would HIGHLY recommend water shoes for activities in the river.
There are trails along the river shore that you are welcome to explore. We ask that you stick to the trails and do not go past the fences as there are cows grazing on the other side.
I welcome your furry friends to come to the farm and also recommend visiting Riverside Acres Pet Shop located 1/4 mile north of the cabin on River Road. I only ask that you clean up after your pet in high traffic areas. If they poop is the woods just leave it! It will breakdown faster than that plastic bag filled with poo. There is also a shovel at your cabin to move your pets waste to the woods or trash. There are cows, bulls, chickens, ducks and other pups around the farm. I recommend leashing your dog if they are not good listeners or will chase the livestock. There is a duck house north of camp DO NOT allow your pets to chase the ducks. Inside the duck house you will find grain and ducks treats you are welcome to feed them when they are around. Don't feed the ducks bread it is really not good for them.

"The cottage was the cutest!! You can tell Kasia put a lot of love and effort into this place. It was also one of the cleanest Airbnbs I have stayed in! Kasia was also very friendly and a great communicator through the Airbnb messaging feature."
